Description:(Sn: 124201) A 1952 Martin 5-18 Acoustic Guitar. Known as a Terz, German for ‘third'. Martin offered these small bodied acoustics during the folk boom. These small bodied acoustics pack a lot punch for it's small size and have the classic Martin tone!
Cosmetic Condition: Good condition- Has been played heavily over the years and has a great worn look with a classic Martin acoustic sound. It has several top cracks: two near the pickguard and one on the lower bout treble side near the binding. These cracks are merely cosmetic and don't affect the playability or sound of the instrument. The top has been lacquered in two areas due to heavy play wear: treble side of the soundhole and just below the pickguard. The bridge has been reglued and has some slight lift on the bass side wing.
Specs: Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 11-1/4” wide, 1-5/8” nut, 21.3” scale.
Playability/sound: It has a very resonant full bodied sound for such a small bodied acoustic. Wonderful warm bass response and excellent bright trebles.
